Newton's Second Law states that an object's speed increases with increased force and decreases with increased mass. This means that the heavier something is, the harder it is to move.
In this experiment the forces acting upon the two marbles are gravity, which keeps the marbles on the ground and friction, which slows the marbles,eventually to a stop.
